I felt the opposite. Adding the HDMI port and the Magsafe back in felt like Apple was listening.

Adding just one USB-A back in would've been better. I still have to carry one converter.

They didn't remove the USB-C, so I still have the option to charge through that, and it saved me when my charger was left in a hotel, and a friend had a USB-C charging solution.

Adding HDMI back allows me to carry a standard HDMI cable and connect to hotel TVs to watch Netflix, Prime, etc.

Magsafe lets me plug in the laptop near a table where our Golden Retriever lopes around, without the fear of my $5000 laptop tumbling onto the (fake) hardwood floor.

I feel Apple did the right thing. This is the best machine they've ever made.
