Ravencoin — Send and Receive Tokens with RVN Wallet

2 min readFeb 26, 2020

There are other articles about creating your own tokens. I’m going to assume that the token is already created and someone wants to send you a LEMONADE token — good for a cup of lemonade.

Mobile Wallet — Android or iOS

Android — Download wallet from: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ravenwallet&hl=en_US

Apple (iOS) — Download wallet from: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rvn-wallet/id1371751946

Open up RVN Wallet, and it will ask if you want to [Restore] or [New Wallet]. Choose [New Wallet]. The wallet will ask you to write down 12-words. Write them down and store them safely. These words can be used to restore your wallet if you lose your phone.

Wait for the wallet to sync, depending on the speed of your internet connection, this might take several hours (one time).

Receiving LEMONADE

Hit the [Receive] button and you’ll see a QR code and a Ravencoin address. Let the sender scan your QR code to get your address. Or if they are far away, then hit [Share] and send them your Ravencoin address.

That’s it, the other person will send you LEMONADE and it will show up in your wallet.

Sending LEMONADE

You’ll need some RVN for this part. Just a tiny bit. You can get some at https://www.vertbase.com/coins/rvn if you don’t have any. A small fee of about 0.003 RVN is needed to send tokens.

Choose the [LEMONADE] token, and then hit [Transfer] in your mobile wallet. Hit [Scan] and point your phone at the other person’s QR code to get their address. Choose the Quantity, and hit [Transfer Asset]. That’s it.
